Kirsten Redmond

Kirsten Redmond’s path to interior design started somewhere a little different, as a Certified Nursing Assistant, caring for others. When she discovered design, she found a way to keep that same spirit of service alive while pursuing her creative calling, and it still shapes how she works with clients today.

That instinct to care for people first shows up in everything Kirsten does, from the way she listens during an initial client meeting to the patience she brings to a project’s most complicated decisions.

Rooted in Western North Carolina

A Western North Carolina native, Kirsten has a deep, lifelong connection to the region’s landscapes, culture, and architectural heritage, a connection that runs through much of her design work. She holds a B.S. in Interior Design with a minor in Art from Western Carolina University, along with an Associate in Arts degree from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, and her Wellness Within Your Walls certification reflects a similar commitment: designing spaces that genuinely support the people living in them.

That regional connection isn’t incidental to her design work, it’s foundational. Kirsten understands the mountain landscapes, the local architectural traditions, and the way Western North Carolina homes are meant to live in their surroundings, and she brings that understanding to every project, whether it’s a mountain retreat or a full home renovation.

A Well Traveled Eye

Travel has shaped much of Kirsten’s design perspective. A college trip through Europe introduced her to architectural details and material choices she still draws on today, and she continues to find inspiration in past design eras, antique pieces with real history, and old buildings brought back to life through thoughtful renovation.

That appreciation for history and craftsmanship gives her design work a sense of depth, spaces that feel considered and layered rather than assembled from a single moment in time.

Bridging Design and Construction

Kirsten also grew up immersed in construction, spending time on job sites alongside her father and family friends who were builders. That early, hands on exposure gives her a real advantage when coordinating with builders and architects, helping design and construction come together smoothly on every project.

Her skill set spans the full scope of interior design, from space planning that balances function and beauty to guiding clients through selections and managing projects efficiently from start to finish. She has a strong eye for furniture and finishes, always making sure every piece supports the larger design story of a space rather than standing apart from it.

An artist at her core, Kirsten uses drawing and rendering to help clients see their project clearly before it comes to life, making the design process feel less abstract and more like a shared vision.
